Kibbutz Gan Shmuel at Bikurim

Celebrating 40 Years of Kibbutz Volunteers 6/6/2005 at Kibbutz Gan Shmuel

In the past 40 years, 400,000 (!) youngsters from all five continents have spent some of the most memorable days of their lives as volunteers in Kibbutzim in Israel. Hundreds of them have stayed on the Kibbutz and are now proud members.

On Monday June 6th, the Kibbutz Movement will show its gratitude to these youngsters from all around the globe, who have made the kibbutz an even more lively, interesting and diverse community.

A get-together of the hundreds of volunteers who became kibbutz members, together with current volunteers from different nations, present and past volunteer coordinators in the Kibbutzim and other ex-volunteers will take place in Kibbutz Gan-Shmuel.

The event will begin at 18:00, and will include performances and greetings. At 20:00 will begin the recording of “Shishi BeGaon”, one of Israel’s most popular TV talk shows, which will be dedicated entirely to the kibbutz movement and its volunteers.

You are all welcome to join us on this occasion!
