| Opera, Dancing and Theatre |
| An enrichment project for challenged people |
| During the last decade there have been large improvements in the |
| conditions of challenged people and it is now recognized that they |
| should be integrated culturally with the community. |
| The aims of this project are to integrate the challenged people |
| with the community through an experience which includes opera, |
| music and dance in the theatre, without pressure but with a |
| personal experience and through this to teach the challenged |
| person something of the cultural world and to enable them to |
| express their feelings and contacts with their surroundings. The |
| participants will learn through this experience about theatre and |
| dance, improving and enhancing their world through this project, |
| which will take place in their free hours. They will be able to |
| express their individual feelings such as: sorrow, happiness, |
| frustration, anger etc., and learn to control and express |
| themselves in a group. This project will teach them how to control |
| their bodies, to listen, concentrate and be patient. Finally, a |
| theatre group will be established. |
| This project is singular in theatre and dance. It will open for |
| the challenged person a whole new world of thrilling experience. |
| The project will be run by an educator who has experience with |
| theatre and dance. |
