Finding and Mapping Holiday and

Recreational Sites for the Disabled

To this date disabled people who wish to take a holiday or visit
|
recreational sites, theatres, museums, hotels etc., encounter extreme
and embarrassing difficulties. Lack of accessibility, appliances,
insufficient services that start with parking problems and continue
through to a variety of obstacles.

The projects aim is to map sites that have been closely examined
|
according to severe criteria regarding accessibility and adjustment to
the disabled. Surveying and screening the sites will put pressure on the
owners and operators of the different sites to pay attention to this
problem and to further changes in the site.

Surveying and screening the sites will be done by normal youth along
with disabled youth and will bring the normal youths attention to the
problems of the disabled. Together they will visit different sites in the
country and enjoy a working holiday.

The information received will be installed in an internet domain,
updated and printed in book form to service the disabled, their families,
organizations dealing with the disabled, local councils and different
bodies dealing with the disabled country wide.

The country will be divided into six areas.
|
Budget for each area: $ 2,000.
